Angels in Action 2010

In June of 1999 Fay Bisaillon was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was confident she would recover from this disease and make every effort to ensure other women remained free of ovarian cancer. Unfortunately Fay, only 43, died April 13, 2000.

The first year after her death Linda Laframboise (Fay’s sister) organized a dinner on March 30 (Fay’s birthday) to remember her and raise money for research into ovarian cancer and improved patient care. The seed was planted and the dinner became an annual event. Each year more women were remembered. Each year more men and women in our community wanted to be involved....

All donations received through Angels In Action directly support Ovarian Cancer Research and treatment. The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is leading the fight for cancer survivorship, thanks in large part to the generosity of our event partners! By being the most significant philanthropic contributor to cancer care and research in our region—by raising the most dollars in our community and allocating the most funds locally to fight cancer.
